SARAH LEAMY is a writer, poet and performer presenting her unique voice to listeners and fans in England and in the States. She has been on stage in Santa Fe over the last 10 years with "Out voices" at Plan B, and at the Railyard Performance Centre, plus other local venues.
Sarah has also been involved in putting on poetry and spoken word evenings at local cafes in Santa Fe whilst in New Mexico. She has produced and performed her own solo shows covering issues of gender, immigration, families and sexuality. She writes about peoples’ lives on a very humanistic and down to earth level. The observations are always bittersweet in their offbeat honesty and subtle humor.
A novel featuring some of the anecdotes and essays is being transcribed.
“Telling Tales” is Sarah's latest spoken word show, which develops the question of ‘how did I end up here?’ Her British background provides her with material that is caustic, funny, bitchy and yet provocative.This performance is the continuing product of a too active mind.
